The concept of user experience doesn’t just apply to digital products and services. It is also relevant to the urban spaces in which we evolve on a daily basis, whether in terms of individual or collective experiences.

To promote the disciplines of design to its audiences, Réseau Canopé* has created a web series entitled À quoi sert le design? directed by Kimi Do. The seventh episode, entitled “Building the city experience”, explores the field of urban design, which aims to place users at the heart of urban projects by involving them in their design. This approach aims to encourage better project adoption by the entire population. In this episode, which you can enjoy Giuseppe Attoma Pepe presents his unique perspective and experience in this specific domain (in French). You can watch the video here.

*Réseau Canopé, as an offshoot of the French Ministry of Education and Youth, is responsible for the ongoing training of teachers and the development of their professional skills. One of its aims is to help teachers master digital tools and environments.
